Pop Up Tents

Pop-Up Tent

The Pop-Up Tent is oh so convenient because it unpacks and erects itself in just a few seconds.

POP UP TENTS are the height of camping convenience because they can put themselves up… well, almost.

One type has a frame which rolls up like a large coiled spring. And that’s pretty much what it is… A spring with a tent built around it! Another type has struts which open up like a large umbrella — but with walls and a sewn-in floor.

When the folded pop-up tent is released from it’s storage pouch it ‘pops’ open all by itself. All you need do then is peg down the pop up tent corners and tie on the guy line ropes to more tent pegs which will keep it steady in any wind. The tent can be open and up in a minute… well certainly in two minutes.

When not in use, these self erecting tents compress down to a flat disc shaped pack which stores away easily in your camping gear.

When collapsed, a popup tent is too bulky to fit in (or tie on to) a backpack. it is too wide. It would also be very hard to fit onto a motorbike if you are motorcycle camping. But for anyone going car or truck camping, it’s no problem at all. It is just super convenient. Really.

Even a novice tenderfoot who has never been camping before can get a popup tent erected, no problemo. Nervous ladies can get one of these spring loaded tents up and ready for use in no time flat, and so could most kids for that matter.

The only problem with children erecting a pop up tent, is that the kids might damage it from horsing around… so a bit of gentle parental guidance would be a good idea in such a case. Don’t be bossy, but keep an eye on your kids. After all, you wouldn’t want them to get too boisterous and damage the tent. Would you?

All of these tent designs are designed to be set up fast, and can be packed away quickly when you’re ready to go home. But the pop up tent is the speed champion of them all.
